There is no information about when and by whom the mosque was built, as its inscription has not arrived to this day. Its existence is documented in the tahrir register of the Sanjak of Vilçiterina from the year 977/1569-70, which is identified with the neighborhood of the mosque of Hatunije in Pristina. Over time, it too was transformed into a mosque like other mosques. Given that the decrees of the appointment of the religious authority of the 18th century describe this shrine as a mosque, it means that the change of status from a mosque to a mosque was made in the previous centuries.
