The mosque, which is located near the court building in Prishtina, was built by the benefactor Jar Ali Çeribashi, according to an act of 1795. Documents of the century XVIII are unclear in terms of the time, when it was raised to the status of a mosque, since in this century it appears sometimes as a mosque and sometimes as a mosque. Therefore, based on these data, we can only conclude that the pulpit may have been placed in this mosque in the last decade of the century. XVIII.
The legend, which connects it with the calf, has no documentary support. All the more, that the builder of the mosque had a military title and did not belong to the class of the poor, as is said in the legend of the people who sold the only calf to build the mosque.
