In the tahrir register of the Sanjak of Vilčiterina in the c. XVI, the neighborhood with the name of the mosque of Hasan Emin appears. For this reason, it can be said that the mosque was built in the c. XVI. Nowadays, the Hasan Emini mosque is known as the Suudi mosque, for which there is no detailed information about who this personality was, but the popular narrative identifies him as the person who became the master of the mosque and covered its expenses when Kosovo emerged from Ottoman rule. At the entrance of the mosque there is the inscription "Suudi Efendi, year 1315 (1897)", which proves the role of Suudi Efendi in the maintenance of the mosque.
According to an archival document of the second half of the century XVIII, we understand that this mosque in the Ottoman administration was also known by the name of Hasan Efendi, i.e. Hasan Efendi Mosque. Respectively, the document talks about Hasan, imam of the mosque (Hasan Efendiu), who in 1152/1739-1740, gave up his duty to be replaced by his son, Husejni. Most likely, the same name worked as imam in this mosque until September 9, 1776, when he died and was replaced by Musa.
